ShopFunds Overview for our new site:

The Process for New Group Sign up (existing groups use prior Coordinator sign in)

  1. New Groups must apply to ShopFunds to create an account.
  2. Once approved your Group will be in our system. Then proceed to Coordinator to sign-up.
  3. Coordinator who is attached to a specific group must first be in system for Individual to sign- up.

Groups

  • Groups are Top level association/organization/school etc.
  • Groups have a Primary Contact (Coordinator) who is associated with that single Group only. There may be multiple Coordinators attached to your Group, but there will be only one Coordinator User Name & Password which may be shared with other Coordinators.

Coordinators

  • Coordinators are associated with a single Group only.
  • Coordinators key job is to submit all Individual orders. Coordinators can't create orders-their role is to submit orders to Shopfunds.
  • Coordinators approve all orders.
  • Coordinator approved orders are then submitted to ShopFunds Administration.
  • To create an order for themselves or other group members the Coordinator must have their own Individual Account which will be associated to that Coordinator account when created.

Individuals

  • An Individual’s accounts is associated with a single Coordinator & Group which is selected when doing the one time sign up.
  • After signing up an Individual logs in & creates an order & then submits orders to their Coordinator. They pay the Coordinator as has been indicated for the face value of the cards and await news as to pick up options.

HOW IT WORKS

Shopfunds gives fundraising groups a simple way to raise funds through our gift card program.

GIFT CARDS

Shopfunds purchases gift cards from large retail stores in bulk.

Participating retailers include these types of stores: grocery, gasoline, home improvement, department, sporting goods, specialty, entertainment and restaurants. Since we purchase in such large quantities, the retail stores give us a good discount.

ShopFunds passes the majority of that discount on to groups like schools, churches, daycares, sports organizations, clubs and charities. The fundraising group sells the gift cards at face value to their supporters and collects the difference.
